Historical Mansion Tour and Lunch at The Landing

Your day will begin with a beautiful ride down to Newport, Rhode Island, the Ocean State. You will first visit the “crown jewel” of Newport, the Breakers Mansion. This is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and the most popular attraction in the entire state of Rhode Island. Your guide will then take you to the Marble Mansion, the social and architectural landmark that set the pace for the transformation of Newport, Rhode Island at the end of the 18th Century, from a summer of wooden houses to a legendary resort of palaces.

Following the mansion tours, you will dine at the Landing, located dockside at the end of Bowen’s Wharf. Enjoy your lunch with the warm ocean breeze and spectacular view of the harbor.

After lunch you will have the opportunity to experience “Shopper’s Paradise” in the “City by the Sea”. You will walk along cobblestone streets in a warm and inviting atmosphere, and visit a variety of shops including boutique jewelers, clothing, antique shops and art galleries.
